<\/a><\/p>\nYou may have noticed I have not been touch for a while, however it has been a busy and exciting year so far.<\/p>\n
Watching the migrations of ships, traffic, trains and sea birds from my studio cabin during my Forth Road Bridge Residency last summer, I was inspired to stretch my wings. Therefore In late September 2014 I set off for 3 months of travel in Australia and Japan, carrying out research of river systems, estuaries and bridges in both of these amazing countries on the edge of the western Pacific Ocean. I explored these new landscapes\u00a0through through photography, film, and ink painting and drawing. This culminated in my 2nd major solo exhibition with the Scottish Gallery\u00a0\u2018Estuary<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 \u00a0in Edinburgh in April. That same month also featured a two person show \u2018Drawing on the Landscape\u2019 \u00a0at Cobalt Contemporary in Pittenweem.\u00a0Both shows were a great success, with \u00a0reviews by the Times,The Scotsman and Studio International<\/a>.<\/strong><\/strong> <\/strong>Coming into the now<\/em> of art making, I am preparing to document further progress of the Queensferry Crossing as it grows apace over the Forth in preparation for my next major show in September.
