I made my research and directed my second short film ‘Driven’ for  ‘EAST’ at the Talbot Rice Gallery in 2001. This lithograph, created with master printer Alistair Clark at Edinburgh Printmakers, was a natural development of a still image from the final shot in the 7 minute video. The print formed part of the ‘Interactions’ portfolio featuring the work of 20 Scottish artists in 2004. A mono-print made from this same film-still featured as the poster cover for ‘East’. Roads, mostly empty (but sometimes seething with action) have featured in my work for over 25 years.
