This work was made during a residency in the Lazaret Ollandini  in Corsica. It is a self portrait of my short journey from home to studio in the courtyard of ‘Le Lasaret’, an18th century fever hospital which became my studio for a month in the autumn of 2005. The Unison Pastel is worked heavily on top of paper which was primed with cobalt blue watercolour.
