News Update early June 2015

You may have noticed I have not been touch for a while, however it has been a busy and exciting year so far.

Watching the migrations of ships, traffic, trains and sea birds from my studio cabin during my Forth Road Bridge Residency last summer, I was inspired to stretch my wings. Therefore In late September 2014 I set off for 3 months of travel in Australia and Japan, carrying out research of river systems, estuaries and bridges in both of these amazing countries on the edge of the western Pacific Ocean. I explored these new landscapes through through photography, film, and ink painting and drawing. This culminated in my 2nd major solo exhibition with the Scottish Gallery ‘Estuary’  in Edinburgh in April. That same month also featured a two person show ‘Drawing on the Landscape’  at Cobalt Contemporary in Pittenweem. Both shows were a great success, with  reviews by the Times,The Scotsman and Studio International. Coming into the now of art making, I am preparing to document further progress of the Queensferry Crossing as it grows apace over the Forth in preparation for my next major show in September. More Soon!
